About A-Go Outdoors English Kids’ Academy

A-Go Outdoors English Kids’ Academy is an experiential outdoor summer camp for primary school children from all over the world, based in Aoshima, Miyazaki Prefecture. The aim is to experience the great outdoors of Aoshima with all five senses and enjoy outdoor activities while interacting with different cultures.

Activities at A-Go Outdoors are conducted by experienced native English speaking staff. Not only will you learn English, but you will also enjoy outdoor and indoor activities in the great nature of Aoshima, while being exposed to fun, live English. Outdoor camps with native English speaking staff for a full day in English

Each morning, we meet at A-Go Outdoors Headquarters at Aoshima, by the sea at 9 am to start the day’s fun activities. Lunchtime is spent in a friendly atmosphere with camp friends and A-Go Outdoors’ staff (lunch included), followed by afternoon activities (snacks included). The program is aimed at primary school-aged children who are studying English and want to experience an English environment, with a choice of one-day, three-day and five-day programs. children interact with nature and participate in educational and exciting activities while being taught in native English by foreign staff. A variety of activities awaits them each day, exciting them with new challenges and discoveries that will make for special memories .
A-Go Outdoors is also aimed at foreign children who would like to join our English program, and learn about Japan and have fun learning about a different culture in a friendly and exciting way.

Where is the nearest airport?: Miyazaki Bougainvillea Airport.

How long does it take to get from Miyazaki Bougainvillea Airport to Aoshima?: The distance from the airport to Aoshima is approximately 10 km and takes 10-15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bus or train.

Is it okay if I am not fluent in English?: The majority of the children are native English speakers, but you only need to be willing and motivated to speak English! All kids' camps are conducted in English, but bilingual staff are available to help if needed. We also have a Japanese-speaking staff member on the booking desk. Please inform us of the parents' and children's English level when you make an enquiry so that we can guide you smoothly.

How do I get from the airport to Aoshima?: There are several ways. You can rent a car from the airport, take a private taxi, train, bus, etc.

When should I arrive?: The summer camp starts at 9am every day. We recommend arriving the day before or enough time the morning of camp.

Do you have siblings discount？: Yes. Siblings receive a discount.
